| G, B! : When and how
the band it was formed ? |
Per: This constellation formed on New
Years Eve 1996. They needed a new
drummer after the old one left for a bigger city, and
I was the only
one
around, so I joined. Later that night the name came about,
first in
Danish (Den Blå ogn) and then some years later
in English (The Blue
Van).

musical experiments of each musician
before this meeting ? |
| Per: Some basic training
in music school and that's it; nobody in the
bands has been in other bands. |
| G, B! : How
would you define your music, in 4 words? |
| Per: Soulful, energetic, bluesy, loud. |
| G, B! : Which
is the first CD which marked you ? |
| Per: That's difficult since
we're four people in the band, but an album
that we all probably have in common from early days is "Are
You
Experienced?" by Jimi Hendrix |
| G, B! : Which are your principal
influences? |
| It used to be a lot of sixties rythm & blues
like Small Faces, The
Who, Cream, Hendrix and so on, but now we really just
write what feels
right... |
| G, B! : Which are your future
musical projects ? |
| Per: The Blue Van, The Blue Van and
The Blue Van. None of us have done
any side projects, except for Steffen who played some guitar on our
friend Brian Tronsgaards songs (myspace.com/briantronsgaard). |
| G, B! : If extraterrestrials
land on the earth, which are the
first thing that you will say to them ? |
| Per: Welcome. |
| G, B! : Would you have
a small joke ? |
Per: Yeah, but it can
only be told in Danish... Anyway it goes: Hvorfor

world. We're recording a new album right now
